AI is a hurricane prediction
Writing software with AI is really cool. There is even a name for it now, “Vibe coding”.
However, it’s really like the hurricane prediction charts you see every spring on the weather. Those charts are really accurate short term, and the cone of uncertainty gets larger the further away the prediction is.

AI is the same way, it can do really amazing short term work. However, just like those weather models that get fed updates every few hours, allowing a new prediction that shrinks the cone’s uncertainty, you need a human in the loop with AI.
Every once in a while, the weather models make a perfect prediction. But we all know that the more data we have, and the more we know the limits of accuracy, the fewer surprises we have.
Since large language model (LLM) based AI is really just a prediction, get out there and use it like you would tomorrow’s forecast. Enjoy the day, and be prepared in case a storm strikes!
