Better Phone Call Delivery
We call lots of people every week. Here’s our January tip on ensuring you get on the carrier’s good side!
Some of our phone blast campaigns need to ensure that phone calls get delivered to all of their members. However, the phone companies tend to not like bulk sending, as it’s seen as the infamous “spam” calls.
So, they have accountability by a number of systems to verify the caller, service provider, and other parties, and that they are all consenting to using that number for the outgoing call.
Reaching your customer
Unwritten Media’s unique phone blast service has custom sending abilities, where we don’t have to use a new or random phone number to reach your customers.
Instead, we have a set of procedures to carefully use your actual business phone number to make your automated outgoing calls for emergencies, weekly updates, and other important announcements.
PSTN security
Over the past few years, we have implemented the various caller identity checks that have become industry standard in the USA. But recently, we have been improving our services by tracing down every last call optimization that comes thru the logs.
One that affects a few carriers is registering directly with the analytics providers.
Why do we need to do this? Some reasons are:
- The calling number has a low answer rate from end users
- The calling number generates low duration calls
- The calling number is responsible for large volumes of unwanted calls
Analytics registration
You are free to register with all of the various providers when you have Unwritten Media use your number. However, we can help you with some of them if you need that assistance.
We have chosen the (Free Caller Registry)[https://www.freecallerregistry.com] as our first officially recommended place to signup.

I walked through their portal in about 5 minutes.
- Enter your email address
- Confirm the code they email (was fairly painless!)
- Add business name, phone, address, and contact info
- Add all of the numbers we will use to send calls
Note: enter a full 10 digit number with
1in front of the area code.
After this, you should receive a few emails confirming their acceptance.
Conclusion
Hopefully this helps your delivery rates increase quickly.
